Hey Kieran...hope you enjoy. Saw David Holmes playing at Homelands festie many years ago but get this..Carl Cox was playing in another tent and the crowd was about 20 people, he was followed by Ian Brown and the crowd rose to about 50 because Green Velvet was on elsewhere. It was a different story later as Moby came on followed by Leftfield then Public Enemy and you couldn't even move..nothing queer as folk :)
you're right, there's no accounting for taste..... he was (is?) a great DJ. i've not seen him for quite a few years now and the last couple of times i did he was playing funk/soul stuff a la his essential mix. they were still great nights though and i'm not even sure if he plays techno anymore, but when he did he was up there with the best of 'em.
